The Miamimx series uses a 25 point method for assigning series points.
Finish positions are determined by overall points. Series points will be awarded based on the overall finish position of the rider after 2 motos. (Points will no longer be assigned per moto). Overall finish position is determined by adding together the finish in Moto 1 + Moto 2.
Series end ties are broken by:
Whoever got first in the most races.
If a tie still exists, the tie is broken by whoever did best in the most recent race or moto.
The race schedule will be posted ON DAY OF RACE after all race entries have been entered into system. We will be running our series in the traditional format, and will no longer have a pre-printed race schedule. After the race schedule is posted and the national anthem has completed, the first race will begin. It is the responsibility of the racers to check the race order and be ready for the first race in the event they are in it.
DNF (Did Not Finish) & DNS (Did Not Start)
The Miamimx series assigns a DNF to racers who do not complete first lap in moto.
For racers who complete at least one full lap but then crash out of moto, a last place position will be assigned. If more than one racer crashes after completing one full lap, the last place positions are assigned based on the number of laps that each completed. Someone who completed 3 laps would place higher than someone who only completed 2 laps. If two or more riders DNF in the same lap, their finish positions would be assigned based on the positions that they were in during the previous lap. So if 2 riders DNF in lap 3, we will look back to lap 2. The rider who had the better position in lap 2 would receive the better finish position for that moto.
Our principal statement at Miami Motocross Park is to “race, learn, have fun and a great time.” If you are not aligned with this statement, simply you don’t belong to our motocross community in South Florida

Don’t know anything about motocross? We have the best team there is to offer, they successfully run the park without owner needing to be onsite. Including: grooming, watering, prep of track, control of gate, management of daily operations.
Worried you don’t have equipment needed to operate park? Included in the sale of business are all the materials needed to run track, including our 2005 John Deer 650 LGP Bulldozer (newly rebuilt motor), water truck, water pump, and entire system to set up night riding (we have not installed lights yet – 1500 watt lights from Dolphin Stadium, electric poles, harness systems, etc…).

For all those following the lease issue at Miamimx Park , We have some encouraging news to share!
The State of Florida and mining company have become more aware of the importance of keeping the motocross track open and are expressing a willingness to find a work-around.
Recently the mining company reached out to us and shared with us the possibility of selling us the property for an interim of time (*we will have to sell it back in future but will extend time/years we can remain at track). This would remove their name from the lease and allow us to keep our gates open longer. This possibility is being researched further and we anticipate having more clarity within 8 weeks once an appraisal price is obtained. This appraisal price will determine how much money we will need to complete transaction.
With this possible work-around, things are looking encouraging. Now begins the mission to raise the funds to purchase property and extend the time we can operate on land (before selling it back to mining company). While we are seeking traditional financing, this GoFundMe account will greatly help us in the purchase. Please know we don’t ask for these donations casually. Since the opening on the track, this is the first time Lazaro Borrego (owner/operator) has asked for financial assistance to keep the Miamimx Park gates open. Operating a track is solely a labor of love and lazaro has invested his entire life savings (and past 9 years) into making this facility a success. Any dollar amount will help us raise the money to purchase the property and extend the time we can operate. (We are hopeful that we can continue to operate for many years before the minig company repurchases the land).
****With that said please be advised we are being optimistic that the purchase price will be reasonable, but in the event the appraisal price is unattainable (and we cannot purchase the property), we will refund everyone who donated to the GoFundMe account. We will not keep any money in the event we cannot proceed with purchase. We have confirmed that GoFundMe has an option to refund money.
Thanks again for everyone’s continued support. We are setting the goal amount at $100,000 as we anticipate this will likely be the range (or higher). Once we find out the official appraisal amount we will begin seeking alternative means to raise the difference that was not raised via the GoFundMe.
